About this role… We are looking for a Lead Manager to join the Deptford Reach team. The Lead Manager is responsible for the Deptford Reach and Greenwich Private Rented Sector (PRS) and House in Muliple Occupation (HMO) services. Deptford Reach is an outreach advice service preventing homelessness in Lewisham and Southwark, operating in foodbanks, health services, and local community groups. The role involves managing the Lewisham Education Training and Education program. In addition, the role involves overseeing the Greenwich PRS HMO service, which includes procuring landlords and rooms, handling referrals, and providing ongoing support for people under 35 residing in HMOs. As a Lead Manager, you will be responsible for: Leading and managing teams based in the community providing advice and support to prevent crisis and homelessness. Instilling a culture of excellence, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement in casework performance. Monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing the performance of managed services, ensuring compliance with contracts and implementing improvements for overall program effectiveness. Collaborating with local organisations, landlords, foodbanks, health services, and community groups to strengthen Deptford Reach's outreach capabilities through effective partnerships. Monitoring and managing budgetary performance, identifying variations, and implementing corrective measures as needed. To succeed as the Lead Manager, you will require: Experience in providing exceptional support to vulnerable people. A demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a strong track record of managing remote teams to achieve common goals. Excellent communication skills and able to form and maintain effective working relationships with funders, local authority partners, landlords and outreach partners. Experience in confidently talking about best practise and its results to funders and other stakeholders. Experience of producing coherent and detailed reports for all stakeholders, including team members, commissioners, and senior managers.
