About the Role
Southwark College, part of the NCG Group, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join a large team supporting learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Based at our Southwark College site, you will provide in-class support including note taking, prompting, and assisting students with classroom tasks to help them access teaching, learning, and assessment. You will create, adapt, and use a variety of resources and strategies to meet learners' needs, including e-resources, assistive technology, and adapted equipment. The role also involves supervising learners on arrival, during lunchtimes and breaks, and ensuring their safe departure from the premises. Additionally, you will support learners off-site in learning and travel contexts such as trips, travel training, and work placements. Keeping accurate records of learner needs, progress, and achievement of learning targets is essential. If you have a passion for helping students achieve their full potential and the drive to make a positive difference, we would like to hear from you.
