ABOUT THE ROLE
The Youth, Society and Sustainable Futures BA is a unique and innovative undergraduate programme launching in September 2025. It is a future-focused undergraduate degree that addresses issues facing young people aged 15-24 and aligns with UCL key strategies and developments, including the UCL Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education.
We are looking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) and Programme Leader who will lead this programme. The postholder must possess a clear sense of the vital importance of the course content and the ability to communicate that vision through course development and through leading a team of staff and cohorts of students. You will ensure that student recruitment targets are met and will maintain the students outcomes on various measures and improved further. In addition, you will assess staffing needs and put those needs in a timely manner.
This post is on a part-time basis (.50FTE/ 18.25 hours per week).

ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have experience of working on undergraduate programmes and have the ability to teach effectively at higher education level, demonstrated through experience and knowledge of a range of learning and teaching approaches suited to the learning needs of students in Higher Education. You will have experience in supervising research projects at undergraduate level. In addition, you have the ability to work in a team and collaborative approach to work including coordinating and leading a range of academic and administrative colleagues and to ensure the team achieve its goals.
