Our vision for this role We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Lettings Agent, with experience of working in a similar environment with an excellent understanding of Social Housing, Intermediate and Market Rent lettings. You will have a passion for supporting new and existing residents to find a home that meets their housing needs. You will be able to tackle obstacles and make decisions on your own. You will have a high degree of initiative, judgement, accuracy, and resilience and have experience of working in a busy, highly target driven environment. You will be responsible for carrying out viewings, and sign ups, managing all advertisement of properties and maximise income from properties by ensuring that any rent loss is minimalised. You will be responsible and act as the single point of contact for customers, contractors, and staff throughout the lettings process from notification of the end of tenancy through to re-occupation. Your work will personally contribute to the overall operation of the Lettings Team. You will have a passion for new ideas and be able to turn these into practical solutions to drive improvement in void turnaround times and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to improve the service putting customer at the heart of everything you do. What you’ll do This is a rewarding and exciting position – You will be managing a busy daily workload across our Lettings portfolio. At a glance you: will be managing all advertisement of properties, where required, using the most appropriate medium available. will carry out our end-to-end lettings process including, advertising, viewings, and sign ups will prepare and issue documents relating to tenancy and allocations including offers, refusals, withdraw letters, sign up packs and tenancy agreements will be supporting existing customers with transfer, exchange, and housing options advice. will be managing all customer contact, tenancy matters and reporting in relation to emergency, short and medium term decants. will deal with all enquiries from customers and stakeholders relating to empty properties will agree repair works while the property is empty, oversee works through to completion and ensure the finished standard is communicated to all prospective customers will maximise income from properties by ensuring they are let as quickly as possible will carry out administrative tasks relating to ending and starting tenancies and licence agreements ensuring all records are kept up to date on the system What you’ll need A minimum of 6-12 months experience in property letting in a similar environment a full clean U.K driving licence excellent customer service skills Experience of developing and maintaining successful relationships with key stakeholders Proactive and good at using your own initiative Good organisational skills and able to prioritise conflicting demands and work to tight deadlines Motivated and enthusiastic Willing to work flexible hours Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
