About The Role Loading Bay Supervisor London £13.90 per hour Monday to Friday 07:00 - 19:00 Duties To ensure maximisation of Security within the Loading Bays Align operations across all 3 loading bays ensuring loading bay officers are following protocol. To be alert and vigilant of access to the Loading Bay and leading to back of house areas. Ensure all users within the Loading Bays are adhering to H&S Processes and the area follows H&S procedures. Review reports received from loading bays and review as needed. Implement procedures across all loading bays. Manage, review, audit and maintain all logs across the loading bays. Respond to fire alarm incidents taking up the role of the investigation officer. Have full knowledge of building emergency procedures and assist during emergencies/evacuations in accordance with procedures or as directed across the loading bays. Prepare and produce concise reports on all incidents within the loading bays. Be alert and attentive by observing and inspecting surroundings while on post. Maintain documents containing emergency contact details and ensure this is the same for all loading bays. Enforce and comply with all building regulations, general orders, post procedures, all memos pertinent to security and all verbal instructions from Site Management Complete and maintain all logs, reports, data entry systems, ensuring that team members are compliant. Monitor and check stats being collected by the other loading bays. Spot checks of all loading bays checking on keys, permits, signing in and out and CCTV visitor logs To ensure all user access is authenticated and authorised prior to entry. To ensure all access doors to the back of house areas leading from the Loading Bay are always secure and users deterred from propping the doors open. To be observant and vigilant of unattended items within the Loading Bay area, all suspect items to be reported to the Control Room and cordoned off immediately To be observant and vigilant of suspicious characters, to be immediately reported to the Control Room To ensure the Loading Bay walkways are clear of goods/material and risers are not obstructed, whilst ensuring all cages/pallets are not left within the Loading Bay and taken away by either the delivery driver or cleared by the tenant. To ensure all users within the Loading Bay vehicular area are wearing Hi Visual Jackets, all noncompliance must be logged and a warning issued to the delivery driver upon return to be in possession of a Hi Visual. Ensure all loading bays are following health and safety regulations. All Tenants of the building to be refused access to the vehicular area unless wearing a High Visual Jacket. All noncompliance logged and reported to the Security Manager, who will then escalate to relevant tenant head of department. All Tenant/Landlord Contractors including fit out contractors are not working in the Loading Bay unless authorised by Building Management and directed to the correct safe area. All petrol/oil spillages must be attended to by using the spill kit provided within the LB office and thereafter reported to the housekeeping team. Deter all users of the Goods Lift from holding open the doors for an unnecessary amount of time Patrols of the area to be carried out whilst observing potential oncoming access, which will create a high presence of security within the area.
