As a Lidl Logistics Operations Junior Consultant, you’ll be a fundamental part of this dynamic team, responsible for providing project management and logistics consultancy for our Warehouse Operations teams. From being responsible for the day-to-day operational support to the warehouse to provide aftercare for projects and processes, you’ll be essential to continue improving our warehouse operations, helping to increase productivity, and reduce costs in our RDCs. You’ll also need to be flexible to travel to RDC’s across the UK approximately 40% of the time in the role.
What you'll do
WH process optimisation to support Logistics management teams develop measures for improved productivity and warehouse compliance
Lead new projects from concept to follow up stages
RDC Consultancy / Collaboration visits
Productivity and WH operations cost/ KPI analysis
Leading and coordinating interdepartmental meetings with HO colleagues and external stakeholders
Handling of daily logistics related queries
Providing project / process updates to the senior Logistics team
Preparation and Presentation for national meetings, workshops and project proposals/ launch
Supporting new RDC openings
Ensuring company procedures are followed across RDCs
Regular communication with WH operations teams and colleagues
What you'll need
Existing knowledge of logistics
Head Office Logistics Operations or regional Logistics experience
Experience of project related work from concept to rollout
Teamwork – ability to work with internal and external colleagues to achieve a common goal
Accountability – ability to work independently or in a team ensuring deadlines are adhered to and output is delivered on a consistent basis
Communication – ability to convey information using the most suitable approach, building rapport and trust within the regions and HO departments
Presentation skills – being able to communicate to different audiences across the business
Problem solving – to accurately assess a situation and find a positive solution with a cost awareness mindset
Willing to travel across Lidl GB network
Full UK driving license
