This role provides the exciting opportunity to manage a pathology laboratory within our medical centre located in Barbican. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience of working in a pathology department or healthcare environment who is looking for the challenge of independently running a laboratory in a busy medical centre. We'll expect you to demonstrate technical skills in pathology disciplines and the use of laboratory information systems. This includes but is not inclusive to: Analysing urine, FOB, biochemistry and haematology Managing vaccinations Adhering to and implementing CQC policies regarding health and safety, information governance and infection prevention Utilising IT sytems including winpath, cyberlab and Vi Working closely with a hub hospital laboratory for processing pathology and cytology samples Our highly motivated and talented Pathology team will really appreciate the high quality support you provide. It is a varied role, with duties ranging from specimen administration through to enquiry handling. We'll expect you to prioritise a busy workload, while keeping calm under pressure and always remaining professional.
