As the MI and Insight Analyst for our STA (Standards and Testing Agency) account you will be responsible for the innovation behind, design and finally maintenance of the dashboards that our client uses on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for someone that can communicate with clients and colleagues in a way that brings the data to life and gives it meaning, someone who is passionate about the value of accurate data to a market leading business. In return, you will work as part of a friendly and supportive home-based team and have lots of scope to develop and progress within the business. What you'll be doing: • Supporting the business with MI requests, ranging from data extractions, report building, insight to investigation of discrepancies • Development and maintenance of the reporting suite • Working with STA Operations to support the existing solution, to enable the business to support contractual requirements • Data management • Able to understand SQL reports to either amend or develop • Manage and maintain Power BI services • Expert in translating requirements into a workable solution • Creation of new analytics and methodologies, utilising the BI toolset What we're looking for: • Understanding of SQL, SSRS and SSIS • Ability to reverse engineer reports and solutions • Knowledge in Power BI • Competent in requirements elicitation principles and techniques • Ability to relay insights in layman's terms • Good presentation & writing skills About Capita and Standards and Testing Agency We manage the end-to-end process for these tests which involves the printing, distribution, and collation of over nine million test papers annually for KS1 and KS2 tests and the Phonics Screening Check as well as administering the marking of four million KS2 test papers annually. Our enhanced digital solution provides 16,000 schools and 4,000 test markers with a secure access portal, providing a more efficient service which allows them to review the status of the test process, obtain results, and update and download records in one place.
