About the Role

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of waste collection and street cleaning services within a defined area. Your responsibilities will include monitoring performance against service level agreements, managing staff resources, ensuring proper maintenance and deployment of equipment, implementing process improvements, responding to customer inquiries, and collaborating with other departments to coordinate waste disposal activities. You will also be responsible for environment, health and safety, and all relevant risk assessments, along with employee relation issues.

Experience
Previous management experience within a similar role is required. Experience in the waste management sector and managing within a unionised environment is desirable.

About you
You should have the ability to build strong relationships and deal effectively with people at different levels. Strong people management skills, negotiation and influencing skills, and analytical abilities with a good financial understanding are essential. You must also possess report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
