Exciting opportunity – Are you ready to be the catalyst for change as an Outreach Practitioner in Brent?
The Role
This post is a key part of a busy, innovative, and exciting Outreach Team at New Beginnings. You will bring passion and enthusiasm alongside commitment to a role that offers the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of those who use our service.
You will work with individuals, communities, and organisations to reduce the harm associated with substance use amongst the community. The aim to better understand the issues that people face, identifying and addressing barriers in accessing substance misuse services. The post will raise awareness of related harm, promote community and user involvement in this process and work with partners to improve access to support services, including treatment and recovery for those whose lives have been adversely affected.
The Service
Via Brent, New Beginnings is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing psychosocial and clinical interventions in partnership with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL). The service is based across 2 hubs; Cobbold Road and the Willesden Centre for Health. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Brent residents, irrespective of circumstance.
