About Us Merton is a diverse and vibrant London borough and we are looking to appoint a Section 106 Monitoring Officer to assist us in manging and monitoring Planning Obligations from Section 106 Agreements. Working as part of the friendly Planning Contributions Team in the Regeneration and Economy Division you will provide day to day management of S106 legal agreements to ensure that the provisions within them are enacted at the correct time and manage incoming funding contributions and its allocation and associated spend. To carry out this role successfully, previous experience in a similar role or substantial experience in planning or property is required. You will have a proven track record interpreting and implementing legal documents with an eye for detail, working to tight deadlines in a manner that is consistent with meeting corporate targets and objectives and that requires minimal input or correction from the Principal Officers. Merton offers flexible working arrangements with the option to work from home two days per week. You will be working in a happy and supportive Planning Contributions Team. There will be opportunities to get involved in exciting regeneration projects, go on site visits and work with colleagues across regeneration, urban design, flood risk, climate change and other disciplines in our team.
