About the Role
The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking a permanent PMO Manager to join the Communities and Skills Directorate within the Performance and Improvement function. You will be responsible for ensuring an effective, centralised PMO that supports the directorate by overseeing governance, processes, and reporting for multiple programmes.

Your key responsibilities will include developing and delivering the PMO infrastructure for the Communities and Skills Directorate, supporting the establishment and operation of internal governance structures, and overseeing performance tracking and reporting to relevant mayoral boards. You will coordinate programme coordinators and PMO leads across teams to support delivery of mandated programmes and work collaboratively with PMO leads across other mandates and communities of practice to ensure alignment and sharing of good practice.

For all programmes, you will work closely with programme coordinators to ensure proactive management, monitoring, verification, recording, analysis, and reporting of programme progress.

Experience
- Proven experience in portfolio, programme, or project management or managing a Project/Programme Management Office (PMO).
- Strong IT skills including experience with financial management systems and portfolio/programme/project (PPM) software.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Thorough knowledge of programme and project management and control techniques.
- Strong analytical and written communication skills.

Qualifications
- A degree or professional qualification in portfolio, programme or project management, or management of a PMO, preferably to postgraduate level, or equivalent experience.
