About the Role

Join our dedicated team at Via Harrow as a Practitioner, where your skills in assessment and engagement will help shape recovery journeys and transform futures. We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to join our Via service in Harrow, working with a supportive and friendly multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical professionals. This important role will be key in ensuring that effective, efficient, and appropriate care is planned and managed well for people using our service, achieving a positive impact on their recovery. The role may suit someone looking to develop a career in the sector, though an excellent track record in the health and social care sector is essential. You will conduct strengths-based assessments, evidence-based interventions (brief and structured), and initial risk and recovery planning. Additionally, you will deliver harm reduction advice, guidance, and education, including needle & syringe exchanges, brief and extended recovery interventions, blood borne virus interventions, and overdose prevention advice. You will also support engagement processes, manage contact schedules to ensure safety, and maximize outcomes while delivering excellent drug and alcohol services to those using our service and their significant others, including family members, friends, and carers.

The Service
Via Harrow is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions from a main treatment hub in Harrow and from a range of satellite services in the borough. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, improving the health, wellbeing, and functioning of Harrow residents, irrespective of circumstance. This service is an established Community Integrated service that is well-performing and highly functioning, CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV & health interventions, OST, and community detox alongside a comprehensive psychosocial and recovery-focused model.

Requirements

Experience
Excellent track record in the health and social care sector is essential.
