About the Role

We are looking for a Premises Assistant to ensure the provision of a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment. You will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance, security, health, and safety of the Harris Academy Tottenham site. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing the Academy premises and grounds, carrying out site maintenance to the highest standards, maintaining the Academy grounds, inspecting the building fabric, managing fire alarm systems, and ensuring the security of the premises.

Experience
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements, experience in plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, and considerable DIY experience.

About you
You should possess the ability for some heavy lifting, physical fitness appropriate to tasks required, and the ability to monitor and report on structural faults/repairs. You should also be able to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis and deal with emergencies occurring outside normal working hours.

Qualifications
Basic training in one or more of plumbing, general and ground maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, and knowledge of maintenance and security systems and procedures.
