Tate Gallery

Full-time

Description
This varied role within our Programmes Fundraising team helps to secure funding from individuals, philanthropic leaders and commercial galleries towards all of Tate’s core activity across Tate Modern, Tate Britain and Tate St Ives. This ranges from securing donations for the forthcoming exhibition programme to cross-site learning activities, transformative conservation projects and new opportunities to support the arts including commissions and Art Now at Tate Britain. The role includes active stewardship of current and established donors, as well as bringing in new diverse supporters to help achieve Tate’s vision of being an artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive world-leading organisation. Each year together we raise more than seven figures to help Tate reach these goals. To succeed in this role you will have proven experience of fundraising, donor development, or relationship management to secure donations at the four-five figure level, while delivering an outstanding level of donor stewardship and maintaining a network of contacts. We hope you’ll bring with you some out of the box thinking and connections for prospective new donors to Tate. You will be able to produce a compelling case for support, making the most of interpersonal skills to communicate in a number of different ways, but particularly in writing. Your strong project management skills will see you able to effectively manage a busy workload while collaborating with colleagues with an eye for detail throughout. We would welcome applicants with transferable skills, who have come from a similar sector.
