Job Title: Project Manager - Virtual Wards Job Location: UK Flexible Location (Remote) Salary £34,999 per annum pro rata based on 35 hours per week Contract Type: Fixed Term contract to: 31st July 2024 The British Red Cross (BRC) are looking for an expert Project Manager who will play a key role in advancing the virtual ward product for our services. The successful candidate will coordinate and drive forward our product development, working closely with the Head of Service to ensure BRC have a clear and consistent virtual ward product which can be carry out within service areas. Where needed the Project Manager will support deployment, ensuring local teams have the help they need to commence delivery. The project manager will have an expertise and a track record of successfully planning, executing, and monitoring projects within the context of community health and social care setting. A day in the life of a Project Manager - Virtual Wards will involve: Projects/ workstreams are delivered to time, quality and cost expectations Project tools, templates and reports are produced on time, error free, and to enable effective and timely decision making Project (including project budgets) and human resources proactively managed Internal and external stakeholders at all levels (including the most senior level) are identified and managed Communication plans are clearly defined and delivered Peers across the PM network will be provided support and constructive challenge Be an exemplar of good practice in the use of PM tools, templates and methodology Project and Programme Management across the BRC is improved through ownership and delivery of defined aspects of development plans To be a successful Project Manager - Virtual Wards, you'll need: Proven knowledge of project methodology and its application Significant and up to date technical knowledge and skills in project and programme management techniques, processes and controls, including: project planning, benefits identification and tracking, project change control, resource allocation and project team management, RAID management and critical path analysis. Substantial experience of successfully managing projects delivering significant change Experience of developing and managing project progress and performance reporting, presenting information clearly and concisely Knowledge of the public/voluntary sector in which the British Red Cross Society operates (desirable) The closing date for completed applications is 23:59hrs on Thursday the 19th of October 2023 with interviews to follow Please note that early application is encouraged, as we'll be reviewing applications throughout and reserve the right to close the advert in advance of the closing date.
