About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for financially appraising and managing new housing development schemes from inception through to on-site delivery and the end of the defects rectification period. This role involves overseeing scheme progress with regular site visits, attending site meetings, snagging, handover, and defects inspections. You will prepare and submit grant claims to the GLA and other funding authorities, monitor scheme expenditure, maintain accurate financial records, and report on budgets and forecasts. You will assist with proposals and bids, prepare financial feasibilities, maintain risk registers, and ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements and statutory consents. The role requires liaison with internal teams, external consultants, funders, and local authorities to ensure timely project delivery to agreed standards. You will also prepare written reports for senior management and contribute to Hexagon’s Equality & Diversity and Health and Safety policies. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, offering the opportunity to work within a dynamic housing association environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management within housing development or a related sector.
- Experience overseeing construction schemes, managing budgets, and preparing financial appraisals.
- Familiarity with grant claim processes and funding authority requirements.
- Ability to manage consultants, contractors, and stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Experience in risk management and statutory compliance.
