About the Role
The Greater London Authority is seeking a Project Support Officer to assist City Hall’s Green Infrastructure Team in delivering key programmes aimed at enhancing London’s green infrastructure. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Mayor’s vision for a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient London. You will report to the Principal Programme Delivery Officer and support a diverse portfolio of implementation and delivery programmes that focus on Nature/Biodiversity/Rewilding, Trees & Woodlands, and Green Spaces & Urban Greening. Your tasks will include managing governance processes, supporting communications and engagement, providing administrative support, coordinating team inputs into corporate procedures, and ensuring timely responses to information requests.
Experience
Evidence of providing project or other support to a senior manager. Evidence of successfully coordinating a small project. Proven experience of using IT systems including MS Outlook, spreadsheets, and databases, with significant experience of Excel spreadsheets.
About You
You should be collaborative, flexible, and willing to learn across a wide portfolio. Strong abilities in project or programme support and coordination are essential. While policy or technical expertise in green infrastructure is helpful, a quick learner is equally valuable. You must be comfortable working with diverse team members, translating senior leader requests into action, and managing iterative change.
