Prospect Development Officer Location: London, Moorfields (Flexible hybrid working role between home and office) Contract type: Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday but we're open to flexibility Salary: £28,005 per annum pro rata, (plus London Weighting Allowance if applicable) Could you play a crucial role in maximising high value relationships through prospect research, collaboration & data-driven insights across Philanthropy & Partnerships multi-million-pound income streams? We have a great opportunity for a Prospect Development Officer to join our Partnerships and Philanthropy Stewardship and Operations function at the British Red Cross. A day in the life of a Prospect Development Officer will involve: Generating research across Major Donor, Trusts & Foundations, Corporate and institutional partner teams, helping to ensure there is a robust pipeline of transformational, high value and strategic donors to the British Red Cross. You will deliver insight-led, tailored prospect research and development across Philanthropy& Partnerships fundraising teams. You will have responsibility for providing new business prospects, qualifying opportunities, prospect development, ethical screening, compliance, and database management. To be a successful Prospect Development Officer, you'll need: Have good understanding and experience of prospect development within the not-for-profit sector. A real interest in major gift fundraising. You're organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, can develop and manage relationships with fundraisers and other stakeholders. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR and its relevance to fundraising You have familiarity with databases and have experience of using the full MS office suite. You're an analytical thinker and can interpret complex information to specific and wide-ranging audiences ensuring it is accurate, current and accessible with attention to detail as well as providing context and overview.
