RECEPTION/ADMIN Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital | Permanent | Full time Join Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital: The City of London's only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew's NHS hospital. Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, that include orthopedics, oncology, general surgery, gynecology, and urology surgery. The new hospital consists of: 48 inpatient and day case bedrooms 28 consultation rooms Three digital operating theatres Cardiac catheterization lab Specialist intensive care beds 8 bay Oncology Day unit Endoscopy and minor ops theatre Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray. We have an exciting opportunity for additional experienced Admin and Reception Assistants to join our brand-new team in London. Operationally responsible for the organization, management and support of the reception function within the inpatient and/or Outpatient building you will also be the "face "of the department and first point of contact for many of our consultants, patients visitors attending the hospital. We will expect you to actively contribute to service development, and to help identify opportunities for service improvement. This will include general reception duties, enquiry handling, collection of card payment if required, as well as patient arrival & discharge details & support with follow-up appointments & outcome recording as necessary. As the building has several floors there will be reception/admin assistants in various key ward areas as well as the main desk - supporting inpatients, theatres and imaging departments so flexibility to work within different areas will be a bonus. You will ideally have some experience working in a similar. Along the way, you will build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the clinical management teams, you will ensure patients benefit from the best possible service while supporting efficient and streamlined business processes. Your role will include: Booking patient appointments. Meeting and greeting patients. Taking telephone enquiries. Ensuring billing is accurate and transparent.
