About the Role
Do you have hands-on experience supporting people affected by substance misuse, and a passion for making a real difference in their recovery journey? This is an exciting opportunity to hold a mixed caseload and support other tasks including assessment, duty and groups in a thriving service, making positive changes in people’s lives through a non-judgmental, recovery-based approach that values the strengths and choices of those individuals. Through joining Via, you will receive a warm welcome, peer support, training, regular supervision, and the chance to thrive in a lively and innovative service. The main purpose of this role is to provide excellent quality of care to people who use our service accessing treatment for substance misuse and their complex needs, in partnership with our clinical team, counsellors, and other professionals involved in clients' care. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of clients, including prescribing, and providing a good quality of interventions at varying stages of their recovery as well as developing and delivering a wide range of groups. The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Duties may include supporting other areas of service delivery as well as helping to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support health and wellbeing such as smoking cessation and local events.

The Service
Launched in 2018, Via Merton in Mitcham is a fully-integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions, operating from a main treatment hub, with additional satellites within the community. The team actively promotes recovery and works with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing, and functioning of Merton residents, irrespective of circumstance.
