Job overview
A Recruitment Admin Team Leader position has been created within the recruitment admin team at Synnovis. Experienced in recruitment administration, the post holder will carry out all recruitment admin responsibilities, whilst taking a hands-on approach to leading and managing the team to ensure the admin process is executed to a consistently high standard. Previous experience in a supervisory role would be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
The main duty of this role is to carry out all recruitment administrative procedures relating to the recruitment process and effectively mange the recruitment admin team.
The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing the entire recruitment admin process and be the go-to person for the admin team members and any related queries from the wider business. An excellent communicator with an exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
As a leader, you will inspire and motivate your team to perform in their role to the best of their ability, offering ongoing support and guidance where necessary. You will demonstrate a solutions orientated approach to this role, using your initiative to resolve issues and problem solve.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Coordinating, overseeing and supporting the end-to-end recruitment process including; posting job adverts, preparing offer letters and contracts, conducting pre-employment checks on all new employees which includes checking ID’s and requesting and following up references to make sure that the employee files are compliant
Undertake recruitment administration as required using the electronic applicant tracking system, currently Trac and ensure the system is kept up to date
Work with the wider HR teams (HR and Payroll) to ensure new starters are set up in a timely manner
Ownership of departmental mailboxes ensuring emails are responded to in a timely manner and escalated where appropriate.
Ensure the recruitment database is accurate and kept up to date
Implementing any new processes relevant to the admin team
Supervise and motivate the team, hold regular team meetings to discuss workload and progress on objectives and project work
Undertake effective 1:1’s and annual appraisals identifying training needs and ensuring the appropriate training is delivered, with ongoing staff performance monitored
Act as an escalation point for the admin team on more complex issues and tasks
Provide training and support to all team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform in their role to the best of their ability
Monitoring the performance of the team, providing feedback and coaching where necessary to support ongoing development and improvement
Support with monthly reports
Promote a positive culture through the demonstration of company values and behaviours
Continually look for ways in which processes could be improved, sharing ideas and suggestions with the team

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
Desirable criteria
CIPD or part CIPD qualified
Experience
Essential criteria
Extensive recruitment administration experience
Experience in a supervisory/team co-ordination role and taking a lead within the team

Experience of managing people

Essential criteria
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
Demonstrate a high level of customer service with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers
Excellent IT skills e.g. Excel spreadsheets, databases and word processing
