Regional Compliance Manager
Location
London (covering both North and South)
Hours
36 hours per week (Mon-Fri), plus inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
Salary
Up to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Compliance Manager to join Thames Water on a permanent basis. This role will lead a team of wastewater process and regulatory specialists to ensure holistic compliance across London's wastewater assets, including 3 of the UK's largest sewage treatment works. You will spearhead initiatives in pollution reduction, regulatory alignment, and technical excellence. This role involves working closely with Regional and Area Operations Managers to develop and deploy technical resources to drive and govern the wastewater treatment process, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficiency targets are met. You will also rank compliance-based risks and implement them in line with funding needs to aid in the elimination of waste.
Experience
Previous experience working with wastewater treatment processes is essential. Line management experience is highly desirable. Must be able to lone work on an STW or SPS site.
About you
You should possess maturity to work across departmental boundaries, experience in coaching and/or training staff at all levels, and excellent interpersonal skills. A sound understanding of Wastewater Treatment process theory is required, along with previous experience with MS Office applications.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline is desirable.
