About the Role
Origin Housing is dedicated to providing great homes, positive people, and strong communities. As the Repairs Manager, you will oversee the property maintenance team, managing responsive repairs, voids, and complex repair cases. Your role is crucial in ensuring that repairs are conducted safely for both residents and colleagues. You will collaborate with the Disrepair Manager and the Damp and Mould Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Property Maintenance.
What you’ll do
In this role, you will:
- Ensure effective delivery of all responsive repairs, voids, and complex works with robust contract management.
- Promote knowledge sharing among team members, empowering them to make decisions aligned with their responsibilities.
- Support the Head of Property Maintenance in the day-to-day operations of the department and contract.
- Manage the operational relationship between Origin Housing, its customers, and stakeholders.
- Address escalated or complex repair/customer issues and complaints.
Experience
Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, experience in handling escalated customer complaints, and the ability to build relationships with residents, contractors, and stakeholders.
About you
You should possess experience in successful contract management, commissioning technical reports, and have commercial awareness. Strong customer service skills and an understanding of customer expectations are essential.
Qualifications
A relevant professional qualification (CIH, RICS, CIOB) or a relevant degree is required.
