About the Role
We're partnering with the London Borough of Bromley to open a brand-new children's home and are seeking dedicated Residential Children and Young People's Workers to help transform a beautiful house into a safe, nurturing, and welcoming home.
This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning, working within a culture founded on Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy). These approaches foster connection, trust, and healing.
As a Waking Night Worker, you will build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence and well-being, work collaboratively to maintain a safe and supportive home environment overnight, carry out domestic tasks to support the upkeep of the home, accurately document and maintain records, and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
Young people have expressed their hopes for the home and staff, emphasizing the importance of understanding, persistence, and making them feel they belong. These voices guide our child-centred care approach.
