Safeguarding The growth and diversification of SCL to include additional provisions has brought with its learners who live away from home, i.e. residential learners, and arrangements nationally, which inevitably creates risks and SCL are committed to supporting these learners in these residential arrangements to minimize risks to them as well as ensuring all compliance checks are place. The safety and wellbeing of the learners, children and adults is at the heart of everything we do, to ensure we have a maximum positive impact on their lives. As such, SCL want to fulfil their duties and responsibilities to these residential learners and arrangements and have created this new post for a Safeguarding Residential Lead and Case Officer. Main Purpose of the Role To recognise and take seriously the statutory, legal and duty of care to safeguard the wellbeing of children and adults who live away from home while using SCL provisions nationally and in doing so robust policies, procedures and processes are in place, included risk assessments as part of our commitment to wider safeguarding, to ensure compliance and the safety and wellbeing of our learners is met. This will be achieved through supporting SCL as an education provider with their obligations in relation to Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2023.
