The role This is an excellent opportunity for someone just starting out within the TV distribution sector of the television industry to gain valuable experience at a leading European distributor. Key Responsibilities: Creating and processing deal memos and contracts in a timely manner Liaising with other departments (Rights, Legal, Finance, Materials, etc.) throughout the process of the sale from beginning to end; Researching programme availabilities and developing sales opportunities; Creating and maintaining detailed spreadsheets and lists combining availabilities (i.e. sales histories and underlying rights), language versions and all other relevant details of the programming that would be of interest to a buyer (e.g. year of production, duration, slot length, etc.); Putting together detailed packages relating to the specific needs of individual clients; Reading and understanding contractual agreements; Maintaining existing relationships with buyers; Sourcing new clients and maintaining client databases for all territories listed above; Ordering screeners, logging the details and following up with the recipients; Planning and organising sales trips and markets, including travel, meetings and materials; Any other administrative duties that may arise from being a part of a busy sales team; May be required to work longer hours on occasion. Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria) Relevant experience of working in a media environment – preferably TV programme distribution – and interest in TV distribution business and digital distribution. Highly numerate & computer literate (Advanced Excel, Word and Outlook) Adaptable and confident with computer systems (particularly databases) Other things we’re looking for (key criteria) High level of organisation & ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines whilst maintaining an extremely high level of attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, enthusiastic and confident Outstanding graduates with relevant work experience will be considered ITV is for everyone.
