About the Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced Level 4 (CIAG) Qualified Careers Advisers to join our Education Development Trust youth careers team from September 2025. You will provide careers advice, guidance, and support to individuals and groups of young people at school or college. Key duties include conducting one-to-one guidance interviews and action plans with Year 11 and 12 students, including those with SEND, young carers, and vulnerable students. You will also attend and support parents' events, update and maintain the careers library, contribute to newsletters, share LMI and careers information, complete CPD, support the Careers Leader with meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks, organize an annual Careers Fair, and assist with the Annual Year 10 Interview Day.
Experience
Experience of working with young people, preferably in a school or college setting. Thorough knowledge of education, employment, training, and personal development opportunities available for young people/labour market information.
About you
You should have the ability to engage with and inspire young people with SEND and disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as their parents/carers. You must demonstrate professional commitment to children's rights, equal opportunities, and diversity. Experience of working with vulnerable groups and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is essential.
Qualifications
Level 4 qualification in careers guidance (CIAG) is required; Level 6 is welcome and salary will be considered according to qualification.
