Ward Security is on the lookout for a committed Security Officer to become a valuable member of our team based at our client office building, located in the heart of Soho on the west side of Great Pulteney Street and close to the junction of Brewer Street. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to deliver an effective and efficient service to the client. The position requires you to have a high level of self-presentation, customer service & communication skills are essential along with a positive/helpful attitude. Position: Corporate Security Officer Pay rate: £13.49 per hour Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 8:00-19:00 Location: 41 Great Pulteney Street, W1F 9NZ Must have: • Valid SIA licence • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure. • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary. • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation. • Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Administration skills • Surveillance skills and detail orientation • IT literate- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment Main Responsibilities • Ensure all instructions, both written and verbal are adhered to • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner • Conduct foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets. • Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors. • Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorised by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents • Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours • Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage, and signatures Who We Are: Ward Security provides security services solutions to a range of UK businesses.
