Vacancy Reference Number - 42796 Job title: Retail Security Officer Location: Southwark Bermondsey Spa Local Pay rate: £11.95 ph Hours: Full time hours 45 hours with possible overtime Job Overview: Mitie is looking for Distribution security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe working environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for all colleagues, contractors. You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history. SIA licence is favourable but not essential as SIA training can be provided Main duties: To deliver industry leading customer service To conduct patrols of the depot To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the depot Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss Liaise with the depot management teams To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and assume control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Depot Duty Manager To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime Support with access and egress to and from the site as is required by the systems installed Gatehouse duties which will include booking in vehicles and supporting the transport operation (RDC ONLY) Must have reasonable level of PC skills Benefits to working with Mitie include: Contracted hours Annual leave entitlement Pension and Life insurance schemes Free uniform supplied SIA Re-licencing programme Comprehensive induction and training programme Access to Mitie's outstanding employee benefits including financial services, retail discounts, reward schemes and online GP services.
