Position: Senior Account Executive, Health
Our Health team at Zeno London has been steadily growing over the last couple of years. We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team to support the existing accounts. This will be working across two of our major clients, for which we do some exciting work on women’s health and cervical cancer screening, and also France’s second largest independent health company who have an oncology portfolio. The work covers brand, patient advocacy, disease awareness, and clinical trial recruitment, all with strong digital elements. We are looking for a solid, reliable and pro-active individual to join our small but growing and enterprising team. There will be the opportunity to be involved in the broader agency, with exposure to all teams (Brand, Corporate Reputation, Digtial/Social and Technology) allowing you to strengthen your skills and understanding of the wider industry.
Summary:
A Senior Account Executive exhibits a comprehensive level of understanding of the accounts – their business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc. They convey this knowledge succinctly to the media, end-audiences, influencers and account team members. Senior Account Executives also have a solid grasp of all traditional and modern public relations tools, and be able to recommend a variety of strategies and tactics to their clients. An SAE must be able to work effectively and provide sound counsel with lower levels of client contacts.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
Client Servicing
Build relationships with client contacts and provide proactive client counsel
Understand competitive landscape and how it impacts clients
Manage multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion on time and on budget
Accurately estimate expenses and time allotment for tasks
Proactively manage client correspondence (i.e. daily updates, activity reports, etc.)
Participate in client presentations
Public Relations
Develop and manage product-focused public relations programmes including maintaining quality programmes with conventional, social, hybrid and owned media, maintaining key contacts
Develop the strategy for and implement events and campaigns; manage and staff these activities
Understand marketing and sales issues, and strategies impacting the client
Counsel client on media interviews and online engagement, and provide them real-time, valuable feedback and guidance
Brief media and influencers prior to meetings and moderate interviews, editorial tours, etc.
Stay abreast of industry trends and client developments
Maintain strong higher-level contracts
Writing & Editing
Research, interview, write and edit news releases, corporate and product backgrounders, contributed articles, corporate strategy news releases (mergers and acquisitions, key executive hires, financial and earnings, reorganisations) and various other promo kit pieces
Craft and develop newsworthy pitches
Draft complex client correspondence
Develop key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives
Market Knowledge
Solid understanding of key client information including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services offered, key customers and competitors in the marketplace
Understands general principles of business and marketing and the role of public relations in the communications mix
Use proprietary methodologies where relevant
Knowledge of agency services and ability to talk intelligently about agency at internal and external meetings and industry functions
Planning, Organisation & Research
Effective project management working closely with account executive, assistant account executive and interns
Solid understanding of ‘big picture’ client programme; maintain awareness of future client events and activities and how they relate to overall objective/target
Participate in brainstorms
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Management
Effectively work within account budget parameters and deadlines
Understand and participate in agency billing and invoicing procedures
Maintain detailed knowledge of expenses, working knowledge of overservicing and profitability
Business Development
Assist with review of new business
Develop network of industry contacts; participate in relevant professional associations
Participate in drafting new business presentations
Leadership & Development
Assist in recruiting, interviewing and selecting personnel
Contribute to performance appraisal process for peers and managers
Coach and supervise junior employees
Engage in team building activities
Demonstrate supervisory ability, delegate tasks and ensure completion of those tasks on time and on budget

Education and Experience
Bachelor of Arts degree in a relevant subject or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university or college is required
Two to three years (typically) of practical public relations experience
Language and Communication Skills
Must be a master of UK editorial styles
£31,500 - £33,500 a year
