Senior Environmental Operative – Grounds Location: Thamesmead Salary: £28,815 per annum Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (35 hours per week) Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM About the Role Are you an experienced horticulture professional with leadership skills? We are looking for a Senior Environmental Operative to oversee and support a team in maintaining our estates and green spaces. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused grounds service.

What You’ll Be Doing: ✔ Supervise and allocate tasks to a team of Grounds Maintenance Operatives ✔ Carry out a range of horticultural activities – mowing, weeding, pruning, planting, hedge trimming ✔ Oversee leaf and litter removal, pest and disease control ✔ Ensure efficient use of plant equipment and resources on site ✔ Work with colleagues to improve the environmental services for residents Who We’re Looking For: ✅ Experienced in horticulture and grounds maintenance ✅ Able to supervise a small site-based team ✅ Skilled in using powered horticultural equipment ✅ Reliable and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions ✅ Full UK driving licence (a company van will be provided)
