Overview: Twickenham Hybrid working £27K-£30K, depending on experience An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Event Coordinator to join our Wonderly event operations team. Wonderly is Haymarket Media Group’s in house agency serving professional and medical membership clients. Reporting into the Senior Event Manager, you will be responsible for the complete end-to-end project management of both in-person and online delivery of the events which Wonderly organise for its association clients. The role includes budget management, supplier management of the venue, AV provider, and platform provider, and event planning and logistics. You will act as the primary liaison with internal and external client stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has a proactive and enthusiastic approach, a can-do attitude to work, works well under pressure and has meticulous attention to detail. Attendance at events is a key element of this role and you will be required to travel regularly and to work out of hours as required. Responsibilities: Managing the end-to-end project management of your own events, including supplier management and stakeholder liaison, as well as working together as part of a larger operations team to deliver large-scale conferences and exhibitions Overall responsibility of onsite management, producing a detailed onsite schedule for each event and managing staff briefings and suppliers onsite Attending regular client reporting and meetings as required, developing an understanding of the client’s objectives and ensuring event delivery is aligned to these Follow company policies, procedures and principles relevant to sustainability at all times and seek to drive continual improvement in live event sustainability performance Managing budgets and monitoring and controlling operational costs to ensure that events are delivered within budget. Negotiating with all key suppliers and venues on both contract terms and prices to achieve the most cost-effective service, and managing payment schedules to ensure that suppliers/venues are paid correctly and on time Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria: Experience of delivering B2B events for a minimum of 2 years Budgeting experience essential and overall P&L responsibility an advantage Proven stakeholder management experience as well as an excellent collaborator and relationship builder, able to work in a matrix with a variety of teams Exceptional planning and time management - ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously Meticulous attention to detail and a creative eye Ability to use initiative in challenging circumstances and be solution-oriented We are a Disability Confident employer and offer guaranteed interviews to all disabled applicants who meet the above minimum criteria.
