About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the London Borough of Hounslow as part of the Community Scheme Delivery Team. You will work within the Council’s Traffic & Capital Delivery Team, managing a range of schemes from inception through to implementation. Projects vary from small traffic and road safety schemes to multimillion-pound infrastructure developments. You will be responsible for managing projects with allocated budgets and reporting to the Team Leader Community Schemes.

About the Team You’ll Be Working In
The team includes a Team Leader, senior engineers, project officers, and technicians. Working closely with Capital Projects and the Network Management Team, the primary focus is on delivering projects funded by the Council and contributions from third parties.

Experience
- Proven experience as a committed, proactive, and responsible engineer with strong attention to detail.
- Experience managing traffic and highways schemes from development through to delivery.

About You
- Driven by a public service ethos with a strong desire to deliver the best possible service to borough residents.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite and associated IT software used in developing and monitoring traffic/highways schemes.

Qualifications
- Relevant engineering qualifications and professional experience suitable for a senior highways engineering role.
