About this role… Thames Reach’s hostels are transitional spaces where a 24 hour staff team support people to move in, assess their needs, and quickly identify the best place for them to move on to next. Skilled staff teams develop personalised support plans to ensure people are ready to move on and are accessing support with their health, substance misuse, criminal justice and life skills needs. We are looking for a Senior Practitioner to manage the Resettlement Support Team. You will: - Manage and coach a team of front line support workers tasked with increasing move on from services across three London Boroughs - Work closely with support workers to identify the quickest and most sustainable move on for people from their current accommodation and develop the plans to do this - Effectively work in partnership with a number of external stakeholders and the internal management team at Thames Reach - Ensure there is regular evaluation and impact analysis, effectively communicating this to all relevant stakeholders and internally at Thames Reach. To succeed you will have: - A proven track record in leading and motivating a team to achieve key outcomes and results - Sound, up to date knowledge of current management practices. Experience or knowledge of line managing employees, students and volunteers - Effective at developing and maintaining good working relationships with partner agencies - Have excellent prioritising skills and be able to independently manage your workload - Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including databases - Experience of working to a Solution focussed approach and in working with others to overcome challenges and barrier We are listed in the top 100 UK Best Workplaces 2023 in the UK.
