About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Safety & Compliance Officer to join our Building Safety Team at Sovereign Network Group (SNG). This permanent role is technical and focused on ensuring compliance with landlord responsibilities, regulations, and legislation within the fire safety sector. You will work closely with the Safety and Compliance Specialist – Fire to provide robust management of all fire-related activities, utilising your expertise in passive and active fire measures, fire risk assessments, and risk mitigation.
Your responsibilities will include leading contract management for current and future fire safety contracts, identifying and addressing underperformance, and managing cyclical inspection, upgrade, and works programmes. You will ensure all fire safety activities are centralised and evidenced within the building safety compliance team, collaborate across regions, and deliver fire safety compliance to meet regulatory, legislative, and landlord obligations. Additionally, you will support the development and monitoring of methodologies related to fire activities, prepare performance reports, and manage direct reports to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Experience
- Proven ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets independently and through teams
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of fire safety subject matters within the Housing Sector
- Up to date knowledge of fire safety legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications
- Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), or equivalent professional body
- Award in Practical Fire Risk Assessment such as IFE or CS Todd
