Up to £66,058 (national) / £71,675 (London) plus 28.97% employer pension contributions.

About the Role
We are looking for Senior Service Designers to join our team at DWP Digital. You will design services and enable others to design better services too, putting user-centric service design at the heart of brilliant public services. Collaborating with experts including product, delivery, and operational colleagues, you will use fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK. As a Senior Service Designer, you will use research, data, and other evidence to shape coherent services, supporting and leading teams in designing services that work for DWP colleagues and millions of users. You will analyse user needs, business and policy goals, and use storytelling and visualisations to articulate whole services, facilitating conversations and collaboration across teams and business areas.

Experience
Substantial experience of using hands-on service design approaches to solve complex problems.

About you
Demonstrate user-centred design expertise to develop end-to-end, front-to-back services using Government principles and evidence that meet citizen and colleague needs as well as department objectives. Be comfortable influencing and communicating to a range of colleagues and stakeholders at varying levels of seniority on the value of user centricity, your approaches and decisions. Contribute to and support the creation and maintenance of a positive working environment that enables collaboration within your team, the wider department and the service design community.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, but a strong background in service design and user-centric methodologies is essential.
