Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, has an exciting opportunity for a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Nurse to join The Oncology Day Unit. The Oncology Day Unit treats a variety of cancers, including breast, Upper GI, Colorectal and prostate tumours. You will work within a small team of skilled SACT nurses as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that our patients are treated with the best possible care. The Role With our consultant / nurse-led service, you will be working directly with clinical leaders, gaining experience with new practices, equipment, and facilities. Some of the key duties, but not limited to, are: Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care Deliver high quality holistic care to our patients Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments Complete UKONS triage and assessments Provide care for acute oncological emergencies Interact with practitioners from other departments Educate patients in the management of their care Assist with outpatient consultant clinics - offering you an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within cancer care.
