Service Lead
Location
London, covering North and North West regions. Travel within the region is required. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
Hours
Working hours between 9am and 10pm with a 1 hour paid lunch. The successful candidate will also be part of the CAS-2 on call rota, which includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays. These shifts will be fairly allocated amongst the CAS-2 national management team.
Salary
£36,431 Per Annum (Base Salary £36,231 + £200 Unsociable Hours) plus area weighting up to £5,000 dependent on location.
About the Role
Nacro is a national social justice charity with over 50 years' experience in changing lives, building stronger communities, and reducing crime. We deliver the Community Accommodation Support service (CAS) across England and Wales, providing supported accommodation and support for adult defendants on bail, and adults released from custody on Home Detention Curfew and other licence orders.
As a Service Lead, you will manage and lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high quality, effective supported housing and housing management services to service users including those on bail, prison leavers, and others involved in the criminal justice system. You will ensure services meet individual needs, contractual requirements, and organisational financial targets.
You will champion relationship mapping in your region, develop links with supporting agencies, promote CAS at external forums, and participate in multi-agency meetings. The role involves flexible working in the community, including visiting staff and properties, lone working, and regular travel for training and team meetings.
Key responsibilities include leading services to comply with regulatory frameworks, meeting service quality standards, ensuring up-to-date support and safety plans, managing financial standards on voids, arrears and re-lets, liaising with external agencies and commissioners, working collaboratively with internal support services, promoting service user involvement, and managing rota and on-call arrangements.
Experience
Extensive knowledge of support planning and safeguarding. Experience working with vulnerable adults with complex needs such as substance misuse, physical and mental health issues, employment and housing support. Previous line management experience with the ability to successfully lead and manage a team.

Highly organised and adaptable with excellent people skills including problem solving, and strong written and verbal communication. Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, support your team, and ensure service user needs and contractual KPIs are met. Comfortable with lone working and flexible community-based work.
Qualifications
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. Enhanced DBS check and registration on the DBS Update Service are required, as well as Prison Clearance. No specific academic qualifications are stated, but relevant experience and skills are essential.
