Hybrid model of office-based working and working from home to meet the needs of the service. The service is increasingly accessible outside traditional office hours, moving towards an 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week schedule.

About the Role
Join Kent County Council's Swanley Community Team as a Social Worker, supporting adults with a range of care and support needs. You will undertake work of varying complexity including Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments, Court of Protection applications, and s42 safeguarding enquiries. Our approach is centred on excellent practice, exceptional innovation, and meaningful measures, focusing on building strong relationships with individuals, their families, and carers. We engage communities early to empower people to find trusted local support. Experience
We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified social workers who can demonstrate capability in line with current professional standards, legislative and policy frameworks. Experience working with adults in social care is essential.
About you
- Registered with Social Work England.
- High level of literacy and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive, forward-thinking attitude with a strengths-based practice approach focused on individuals' desired outcomes.
- Collaborative team player with a flexible and locally focused mindset.
- Hold a Full UK Driving Licence. The Council is committed to reasonable adjustments and will consider applications from those unable to drive due to disability.
Qualifications
Registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England is required. Additional specialist training opportunities are available, including Approved Mental Health Professional Training, Best Interest Assessor Training, and Practice Educator training.
