About the Role
Join Kent County Council’s Swanley Community Team as a Social Worker, working with adults who have a range of care and support needs. This role involves undertaking work of varying complexity including Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Assessments, Court of Protection applications, and s42 safeguarding enquiries. You will be part of a team that places individuals at the centre of their support, building relationships with individuals, their families, and carers. The role embraces strengths-based practice focused on desired outcomes and goals, with an emphasis on excellent practice, innovation, and meaningful measures. You will engage with communities early to empower people to find trusted local help and support. Additional Information
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and requires registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England. The Council is committed to reasonable adjustments for applicants unable to drive due to disability, although a full UK Driving Licence is generally required. The role is customer-facing and requires a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for effective job performance.
Experience
