About the Role
As a Social Worker in our Safeguarding Adults Team, you will act as the Enquiry Officer for safeguarding enquiries and lead or contribute to Section 42 enquiries, ensuring robust risk assessments and effective protection plans. You will work in partnership with health professionals, police, and community organisations to deliver coordinated safeguarding interventions. Ensuring all actions comply with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and local safeguarding policies is essential. You will support adults and carers to maintain independence, prevent harm, and promote wellbeing. The role involves preparing for and participating in safeguarding and multi-agency meetings, maintaining accurate and timely records, and contributing to service development and reflective practice. You will also support quality assurance, performance reporting, and continuous service improvement while championing personalised, strengths-based approaches that promote independence and wellbeing.

Experience
Experience working within adult safeguarding or social work is desirable. Knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act is essential.

You should be able to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills. A strengths-based, personalised approach to social work practice is essential.

Qualifications
You must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
