The Tower Hamlets Schools (THS) PFI Contract covers 24 schools in East London and is part of a wider PFI contract, covering Facilities Management contracts in London and the Midlands. About the role We have an opportunity for a Soft Services Team Leader to join our team. This role will work with the Regional Manager to coordinate the Premises team, cleaners and relevant sub-contractors, to ensure effective and compliant delivery of soft facilities management services to the schools. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, any 5 out of 7 days covering times between 6:30am to 5:30pm. Responsibilities: This role provides a critical link between the Regional Manager and the workforce so maintaining good working relationships with all G4S & client employees and representatives is vital. Assists with the management of all specified operational delivery requirements and company objectives in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures and provides support and mentoring to other team members as required. Responsible for ensuring they, and their team, have the necessary competence, training, back-up and support to deliver high levels of customer service in line with the contractual requirements. Develop and keep detailed records of work schedules, formal audits, and attendance records. Manage labour effectively ensuring work is completed in a timely and safe fashion. Actively participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff reducing the need for agency workers. We would expect you to be knowledgeable in relevant Health & Safety, soft FM services and Concept Evolution CAFM Systems. Essential Criteria: Good Health & Safety Knowledge- IOSH Managing Safely. Full clean driving licence. BICS Level 1-3. C & G 7648 Level 1-2 (Cleaning & Support Services). Recognised apprenticeship or training in support services / cleaning /hotel services. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively work as a team. Flexible to deal with many priorities at one time and act to ensure successful delivery.
