Staff Bank Resourcing Specialist
Synnovis
£48,000
Full-time
Description
The place to work in pathology
We are looking for top talent to join the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company – a scientific organisation with a clinical purpose.
Working in partnership with our service partners, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital we aim to set the standard for the future of pathology.
Job overview
‘Be better at what I do…’
But what will help you become better at what you do?
If you’re currently working in an agency, perhaps it would be insights gained from an in-house role. Including that thorough understanding of the broader view of recruitment that you might not see now, the processes, job design and the commercial and legal considerations. Perhaps you’re an established in-house recruiter who would like more ownership of the direct sourcing strategy with an interest in temporary staffing.
Principally you’ll be applying your in-depth knowledge of temporary staffing management, coordinating a team comprising of staff bank recruiters, resourcing advisors and administrators to fill the increased, flexible demands of the organisation at this time of transformation. You’ll know the Biomedical Scientist space well or can apply what you know from other areas of healthcare recruitment to the Staff Bank here at Synnovis.
Main duties of the job
You’ll bring together the team, organise and execute delivery, working with the other resourcing specialists in the business. Your main goal is to increase the availability and deployment of temporary workers into the organisation and responding to the requirements of operations.
You’ll start by building relationships with the key stakeholders, understanding the immediate goals and put in place a sourcing strategy to increase the quality of direct hires. You’ll bring your own market knowledge and experience to work with managers to understand and create accurate briefs on the roles you’d be working on, review job descriptions and present realistic timeframes on delivery.
This will involve market mapping, building pipelines, sourcing through professional networking sites / CV databases and composing effective adverts. The objective is to reduce spend on external suppliers, increase retention and consolidate recruitment practices through a proactive, consultative approach. You’ll introduce prospect candidates into the process, support negotiations and close those selected, following sound recruitment practice.
This is a career developing opportunity for you, hopefully providing you with the freedom and exposure to build on existing skill sets and stretch you.
Working for our organisation
Your development and learning
You will have a suite of learning opportunities available through The Synnovis Way Development programme which is used across Synnovis to enable you to reach your potential, learn new skills and achieve your goals.
This is managed between you and your line manager in line with your own personal and professional development ambitions.
You can apply for finance to drive innovation and service development for the benefit of patients through our Innovation Accelerator Fund.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Who we are and the background to the role:
Synnovis – an NHS Partnership with SYNLAB, provides diagnostic pathology services to our NHS and private customers. Our operations teams at sites including Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, King’s College Hospital and The Princess Royal University Hospital oversee the testing of pathology specimens. As the IBMS puts it “Biomedical Science staff… …provide the 'engine room' of modern medicine - 70% of diagnoses in the NHS are based on pathology results provided by laboratory services.”
We’re embarking on one of the largest transformation projects in the UK, in this space, currently.
This will mean for you the opportunity to work in a truly dynamic environment, recruiting people who will be working on some incredibly bespoke projects. This will hopefully hone your skills and give you the scope to build your existing network and experience being the recruitment lead on several key projects.
You’ll be joining an existing recruitment team comprised of a Recruitment and Staff Bank Manager, Staff Bank Recruiters, Resourcing Specialists, Recruitment Advisors and Administrative support.
You’ll be based out of our brand new Hub, located on Blackfriars Road, however there will also be an element of home working.
