We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track. About this role… We are looking for a Support Worker to join Thames Reach Greenwich Supported Accommodation. Thames Reach’s Supported Housing is comprised of Accommodation, Housing First, Navigator and Move on services supporting people to make real and lasting change in their lives. People may present with complex mental health, offending histories, drug and alcohol needs. Accommodation-based services: Using a strength-based casework approach to sup-port people to make plans to gain the emotional and practical skills for increased in-dependence to enable successful move on. Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills. You will: • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with individuals that have a history of offending, mental health, rough sleeping and complex support needs. • Provide direct support to clients in the form of key working and case work management to meet clients’ needs • Work collaboratively with other agencies including the local authority, sub-stances misuse, health services and housing providers • Empower individuals take an active role in developing their own personalized support plans, motivating them to achieve their goals and aspirations • Accurately record all work done in a timely manner • Be confident in working autonomously as well as within a team. To succeed as the Support Worker you will have: • Excellent prioritising skills and be able to independently manage your workload • Commitment to developing your knowledge and skills • To be responsive and flexible to the needs of the team and the clients • Be a proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including databases • To show initiative and attention to detail • To be able to develop and maintain good and effective working relationships in-ternally and externally • Confidence in representing Thames Reach at external meetings and with out-side agencies We are listed in the top 100 UK Best Workplaces 2022 in the UK.
