About the Role
Join Thames Reach as a Support Worker within the Greenwich Navigators team, where your understanding, compassion, and commitment will be valued in supporting people affected by street homelessness. Thames Reach delivers projects and services aimed at ending homelessness in and around London by working directly with individuals on the streets and in hostels, preventing homelessness, and helping formerly homeless people rebuild their lives through access to work, training, and volunteering opportunities. Last year, we supported over 15,000 people and are recognised as one of the top 100 Best Workplaces in the UK.

As part of the Supported Housing services, including Accommodation, Housing First, Navigator, and Move On, you will provide holistic floating support to clients at various stages of their homelessness journey. This involves helping individuals navigate systems and access services to secure accommodation and prevent future homelessness. Clients may have complex needs including mental health issues, offending histories, and substance misuse.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out assessments to understand client eligibility and needs, fostering a person-centred approach to support goal setting, assisting clients in accessing specialist services and independent accommodation, collaborating with external agencies such as local authorities and health services, representing Thames Reach externally, and maintaining accurate and timely records of your work.
