About this role…
The area of Prevention supports vulnerable people by providing them with skills, housing advice, accommodation, and tenancy sustainment support. All the services within the area of prevention work to help people transition towards leading independent lives.
We are looking for a Support Worker to join the Sustaining Tenancies, Accommodation and Resettlement team.
You will:
- Support a caseload of up to 25 households across London, at risk of homelessness, stay in their accommodation.
- Support those in unsecure or inappropriate accommodation find emergency and long-term housing solutions.
- Advocate on behalf of a diverse cohort of people with various statutory and voluntary organisations.
- Contribute to ongoing service delivery.
- Have good IT and administrative skills.
To succeed as the Support Worker, you will have:
- Experience of engaging and supporting those with housing / tenancy related issues or who have experienced homelessness
- Excellent communication and prioritising skills, and be able to independently manage your workload
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including databases
- Experience in developing and maintaining good and effective working relationships
- An interest in homelessness and a desire to support us to have a positive impact on the lives of homeless people.
