The difference you will make as a Sustainability Coordinator This role is suitable for graduates in a relevant degree looking to expand their experience in the sector. You will support the Sustainability and Investment Planning Team with the implementation of sustainability objectives. Supporting in the research, development and implementation of actions, processes and projects that ensure the Group achieves its sustainability targets. About you We are looking for someone with Experience of working in construction, renewables, sustainability or housing. A relevant academic qualification. Able to identify customer needs and design solutions to meet them. Personal commitment to diversity, treating others with dignity and respect, with a real desire to understand and meet diverse customer needs and aspirations. Highly proficient at analysing and evaluation complex information, measuring impact of initiatives and developing appropriate strategies and action plans, and to present finding clearly to a range of audiences. Applications may close before the deadline, so please apply early to avoid disappointment. Role Profile Support in delivering the Group’s Climate Responsibility Strategy and Healthy Homes Plan. Coordinate the management of Riverside’s solar photovoltaic portfolio. Act as the main point of contact for the managing agents Answer energy related enquiries and requests effectively, providing clear, supportive and accurate advice, action or signposting as appropriate and escalating complex queries via the appropriate channels to ensure effective resolution. Deliver day to day contract management services for energy works, commissioning appropriate work orders, including monitoring progress to completion. Maintain accurate records, using appropriate systems and databases, ensuring the integrity and quality of data to enable regular analysis to be carried out and reporting to be completed as required. Assist in the management and reporting of budgets including processing payments, ensuring asset management expenditure is managed in line with the Group’s Financial controls. Handling and resolving complaints. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures. Ensure requirements and proposed solutions have been captured effectively during meetings and follow up with attendees to ensure they are clearly understood and align to business processes, standards and service quality. Monitor the progress of implementation, reporting on risks and updating reporting lines. Support the sustainability colleagues in the development, delivery and monitoring of projects, including personal research. These may be: Retrofit – energy efficiency measures and funding Energy efficiency advice and affordability Biodiversity and access to nature Electric vehicles charging and fleet decarbonization Sustainability reporting metrics – SECR, ESOS, ESG, TCFD Sustainable procurement Carbon zero in new and existing homes Renewables Healthy and modern homes Indoor air quality, including damp and mould Climate resilience Hazard prevention in homes Liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively including third-party suppliers and residence, providing advice and support and building constructive working relationships. Ensure effective communication and engagement activities are delivered to all key stakeholders and progress updates and key messages are communicated regularly. Carry out research for self-development and to increase the understanding within the business of innovative products and procedures, the impact of the new and upcoming policy and changes in the operating environment. Using the above, contribute to the development, review and effective use of sustainability policies and procedures, identifying areas where amendments are required as a result of legislative changes, policy updates or customer and stakeholder needs. Contribute to the production of a suite or accurate and timely reports or key stakeholders Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service. Ensure that data protection requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and statutory requirements. Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in accordance with the Group’s policy, procedures and stator requirements. Person specification Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Experience of working in construction, renewables, sustainability or housing. A relevant academic qualification. Able to identify customer needs and design solutions to meet them. Personal commitment to diversity, treating others with dignity and respect, with a real desire to understand and meet diverse customer needs and aspirations. Highly proficient at analysing and evaluation complex information, measuring impact of initiatives and developing appropriate strategies and action plans, and to present finding clearly to a range of audiences. Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Effective stakeholder management, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others. Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Academic or working knowledge of at least two of the sustainability areas listed above. Desirable Experience of delivery a corporate sustainability strategy for a large and varied portfolio of assets. Understanding of building physics. Experience of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Contract management skills. Experience of managing budgets in line with agreed financial protocols.
