This is a new and critical role with DMG Events, responsible for assisting the business with the delivery of its Sustainability Strategy and in particular its Roadmap to Net Zero. It will be a hands-on role, working across all levels of the organisation, in particular guiding individual event sutainability champions in the delivery of our corporate goals. Key Accountabilties: Oversight, and continuing development, of the DMG Events’ sustainability strategy Implementation of DMG Event’s Roadmap to Net Zero, working with key stakeholders and individual event sustainability champions Developing and delivering a sustainability marketing and communications plan (internal and external) Working with the Data team to develop data collection strategies for measurement of emissions data across Scopes 1, 2 & 3 Management of carbon footprint calculation process for DMG Events’ Regular reporting to senior management on sustainability initiatives across the business Faciliation of sustainability training to the business Management of regular internal sustainabtiliy working group and methods to share best practice across the business Involvement with and contribution to key industry working groups / associations To be the subject matter expert on relevant ESG, Net Zero and Sustainability frameworks and advise the business accordingly Qualifications and Experience: • 3-4 years experience in in the ESG / Sustainability field, preferably in the events industry (Environmental, Social and Governence) • Detailed understanding of ESG / Sustainability initiaties, regulations, protocols, guidelines and ability to adapt ever-evolving industry standards • Experience in delivering ESG / Sustainability projects • Knowledge of carbon footprinting and offsetting processes • Experience in building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders • Ability to interact confidently with senior managers in the business • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Willingness to travel internationally and sustainably /(to our events / offices) dmg::events is an equal opportunity employer.
