The Role: As Team Leader with our Mortality Management team you can make your own powerful contribution to Westminster’s success. The team is focused on the operational delivery of our public mortuary service and public health funerals, and it will be your task to ensure the team meets statutory and regulatory requirements and needs, and delivers continuous service improvements to enhance the quality of life, safety and wellbeing of our borough’s diverse communities. Managing a number of projects and programmes of change that contribute to the positive delivery of outcomes across the service, you’ll work to improve customer service and reduce risk and harm in our communities. We’ll also expect you to develop and manage partnerships, both within the Council and with external partners, to establish a coordinated and integrated approach to the management of the service, and ensure that all the relevant stakeholders are consulted on the work we do. Central to your role will be your work as a Designated Individual in relation to the Human Tissue Authority. This means you’ll have a legal duty to ensure that statutory and regulatory requirements are met, take responsibility for supervising licensed activities, and ensure that suitable practices are in place.
